The earthing contact in each mating half protects sensitive electronic components against static voltages during the plugging operation.
Contacts must be ordered separately. Plug shells accept pin contacts, socket shells accept socket contacts.
The in-line coupler mates with the 6+E cable mount socket, stock no. 202-1936.
The ratchet and plier style support crimp tooling (stock no. 450-4411 ) (note: is also suitable for QM single and two piece contacts (see stock no. 466-804 for contact details).
The plier tool (stock no. 468-686 ) can also be used to crimp contacts for the Circular Sealed Industrial IP67 connector range and the Sealed Industrial IP68 connector range (stock no. 489-526 ). Instructions supplied with tools. These tools support this range, but are not manufactured by Hirschmann.
