The MAX17595ATE+ is a peak current mode controller for flyback and boost regulator in 16 pin TQFN package. It offers optimized input thresholds for universal input AC to DC converters and telecom DC to DC (36V to 72V input range) power supplies. The device contains built-in gate driver for external N channel MOSFETs. The MAX17595 includes an internal error amplifier with 1% accurate reference which eliminates need for an external reference. The switching frequency is programmable from 100KHz to 1MHz with an accuracy of 8% that allows optimization of magnetic and filter components resulting in compact and cost effective power conversion. For EMI sensitive applications, the device incorporates programmable frequency dithering scheme which enables low EMI spread spectrum operation. A programmable slope compensation scheme is provided to ensure stability of peak current mode control scheme. It is used in wide range DC input flyback/boost battery chargers & battery powered applications.
