The MAX4892EETX+ is a 1000 Base-T, ±15KV ESD protected LAN switch in 36 pin TQFN package. It contains four pairs of DPDT switches and provides LED switching for laptop computer/docking station use. The device meets the need of high speed differential switching. It handles the needs of gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Base-T switching as well as LVDS and LVPECL switching. The MAX4892E provides enhanced ESD protection up to ±15KV per MIL-STD-883 method 3015 and excellent high frequency response making the device especially useful for interfaces that must go to an outside connection. The MAX4892E is pin to pin equivalents of MAX4892 and can replace this device for applications requiring enhanced ESD protection. It is typically used in servers and routers with Ethernet interfaces, board level Redundancy protection, SONET/SDH signal routing, T3/E3 redundancy protection, LVDS and LVPECL switching.

• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• Off leakage current of ±1µA and on-leakage current of ±1µA
• Maximum on-resistance of 5.5ohm at TA = +25°C and on-resistance flatness of 0.01ohm
• Maximum on-resistance match between channels is 0.5ohm (typical) and 1.5ohm (maximum) at TA = +25°C
• -23dB return loss of 100MHz and -3dB bandwidth of 650MHz
• Extremely low capacitance as well as low resistance for low insertion loss and very wide bandwidth
• Low quiescent supply current of 280µA
• Bidirectional 8 to 16 multiplexer/demultiplexer
• Crosstalk of -50dB at f = 25MHz and -26dB at f = 125MHz
• Board-Level Redundancy Protection; Notebooks and Docking Stations;
• Servers and Routers with Ethernet Interfaces; SONET/SDH Signal Routing; T3/E3 Redundancy Protection
