Ambient Light Sensor ICs

ROHM Semiconductor Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) ICs are designed to control the brightness of LED-backlight LCD displays. This brightness is based on ambient light availability, brightness for optimum display visibility, and energy efficiency. Operation in a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C ensures stable operation under extreme conditions. These ICs are an ideal choice for LCD-equipped portable devices as well as LCD monitors and High-Definition (HDIV) backlight control. The ambient light sensor ICs closely matches the human eye for accurate light measurement and provide uniform visibility for LCDs over a wide range.
