Qorvo ACT8870 Power Management ICs (PMICs) are the integrated ActivePMU™ power management units that are highly flexible and can be reconfigured via I²C for multiple applications. Examples of configurable options include output voltage, startup time, system-level sequencing, switching frequency, sleep modes, and operating modes. These devices are designed to power a wide range of processors, including Atmel SAMA5D2, FPGA"s, peripherals, microcontrollers, and solid-state drive applications. The core of these PMICs includes four DC/DC step down converters using integrated power FETs, three Low Drop-Out regulators (LDOs), and an optional load switch. Typical applications include microcontrollers, Solid-State Drives (SSDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and video processors. The ACT8870 PMICs are available in 5mm x 5mm 40 pin QFN package or 3.2mm x 4.2mm 0.5mm 48 ball wafer chip-scale package.
